I am a software engineer at Google working on academic learning video journeys on Search. This semester I am teaching this class full-time instead of my typical work. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Computer Science, during which I did two internships at Google.
Ms. Terry Miller she/her
Bonjour mes amis. I am Ms. Terry Miller, a native of Huntsville, AL and a twice alum from Alabama A&M University in Computer Science. I have worked at the university since 2003 in various offices and enjoy working with students. I love action packed-thriller type movies with espionage, intelligence and trade secrets. In my spare time, I cook gourmet dishes and travel with friends and family. One of the things on my bucket list it to travel to all 7 continents in the world. I have a 28 year old son and a 2 year old granddaughter, who is the boss of our family.

Hello! My name is Lyric Sampson, an honors, sophomore, computer science major from Maryland. Just a little bit about me; I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with my friends and going bowling. (If you ever want to go, I’m always down!) I also LOVE sour patch kids and listening to R&B. This will be my 2nd semester as a TA for this course and I look forward to meeting you.

I am Da’Quandalon Daniel, a sophomore computer science major from Gadsden, AL, with a 4.0 GPA at Alabama A&M University. I recently completed an internship program this past summer through the National Defense Education Program (Sponsored by the United States Department of Defense). I enjoy learning and experiencing new things. I love to fish, try new restaurants, and I’m an absolute sneakerhead I love to buy shoes. I’m very friendly and enjoy meeting new people, so don’t be scared to reach out. I look forward to assisting with this course.

I work on Chrome OS software performance, and have been with Google for 12 years. I was born and raised in Bahrain but am ethnically South Asian. I came to California to go to grad school and have been here ever since. For fun, I enjoy travel, Latin partner dance, scuba, plant-based food, and fitness.
Jessica Xu she/her
Hi! My name is Jessica and I am currently based in Seattle. I am on the Core A11y team for GCP. For fun, I like to play volleyball, taiko (Japanese drumming), and just really anything outside!
Jon Lipovetz he/him
My name is Jon and I’m from Minnesota but currently based out of Seattle, Washington. I work on Kaggle, a data science/ML community and competition platform, and previously worked on Chrome. For fun I love going to concerts and music festivals, hiking, snowboarding, and trying new food.
Oliver Dolk he/him
Hi! My name is Oli and I work on the rebilling team for Google Cloud, helping users configure complicated billing mechanics at high scale. I’m Australian and went to school back home where I TA’d courses including Algos, Compression and Neural Networks before coming to the USA several years ago. For fun I love oil painting, pottery, cycling and football.
Paul Fagerburg
My name is Paul and I am based in the Boulder, CO office. I work on the ChromeOS team, helping speedy, simple, and secure computing devices to students, home users, and business users. I’m currently working on the ChromeOS Hardware Tools Team building devices that we use to automate testing in the lab.
